Singing-Songwriting Duos - from Everly Bros to Simon and Garfunkel
Brewer and Shipley left their home in Missouri for Los Angeles where they recorded their first 2 albums in 1968, we hear "Wichi-Tai-To". They returned home and we hear 1971's "Shake Off the Demon", "Merciful Love" and "Message from the Mission (Hold On)".
Simon and Garfunkel were recording their final two albums in 1969 - 70, from Bookends we hear "Hazy Shade of Winter", "At the Zoo" and "Baby Driver".
Next we listen to three songs from 1957-58 by the Everly Brothers and from 1964 two songs from the early Beatles featuring John and Paul in tight harmony.
Finally we listen to Seals and Croft's 1970 "Down Home" album recorded in Woodstock and produced by John Simon.
